PROEDGE PRECISION IS AWARDED INCUMBENT WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT GRANT

 
Statesville, N.C., May 23, 2014 - ProEdge Precision, LLC, has been awarded $23,150 in incumbent
workforce development funds to provide advanced machining skills training for current employees.

“Our business is growing exponentially and this grant will allow us to further train and develop our current
workforce to more aggressively compete with the demands of our industry” said, President of ProEdge
Precision, Joey Chambers. “We have invested a significant amount of resources in capital and workforce
development over the past 12 months to improve efficiency and grow our business which in turn will allow
us to be more competitive and better serve our customers”.

The Commission on Workforce Development at the North Carolina Department of Commerce made the
announcement on Friday, May 23, 2014. The company will use the funds to contract with several
machining trainers to deliver industry-recognized skills training. In addition to gaining valuable skills, the
company expects to improve employee retention and prepare the company to pursue new contracting
opportunities. The grant application was submitted locally to the Centralina Workforce Development
Board who endorsed the application and rendered technical assistance.
